Finally got my PC totally working... Windows wouldn't start because Ubuntu hid it's partition... so I eventually managed to unhide and activate it allowing me into Windows. Then I formatted the linux partitions and removed them, and had to get stuck in on fixing the Master Boot Record. Took a long time, but I eventually found a third party app. Wasted 7 CDs on this little adventure (and got 2 copies of Windows, which I didn't use).
